Maine Licensed Massage Therapist #3864
Nationally Certified Therapeutic Massage Therapist and Bodywork (NCBTMB) #576091-09

Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals Member #1384279

Every body deserves, and requires, informed, compassionate touch.  Massage is many things, but has the potential to be a gateway to the senses, a rehoming of the person in their body, and a means by which to release somatisized trauma.  Massage can help you to explore the issues in your tissues, tone your vagus nerve, alter your state of consciousness, and increase your feelings of caring, comfort, and connection.

Additionally, studies have found massage may also be helpful for:

•            Anxiety

•            Digestive disorders

•            Fibromyalgia

•            Headaches

•            Insomnia related to stress

•            Myofascial pain syndrome

•            Soft tissue strains or injuries

•            Sports injuries

•            Temporomandibular joint pain

**Because Lindan is deeply committed to the Code of Ethics of the National Association of Social Workers, she does not offer bodywork of any kind to her therapy clients.  However, if you are working with another therapist and would like to pursue the adjunctive care of bodywork, Lindan will be happy to coordinate services with your psychotherapist or other providers.**
